“African Giant?” — Video Shared by X User Sparks Lagos Traffic Wahala, Identity of VIP Unclear

A fresh Lagos traffic drama has taken over social media after Abazz shared a 33-second video showing a convoy breaking traffic rules around Elegushi, Lagos State — with LASTMA officials waving the car through like nothing happened.

The clip, posted on X, quickly went viral.

Abazz Mentions Burna Boy — But Video Shows No Clear Face 👀

While sharing the video, Abazz wrote:

“Burna Boy disobeying traffic rules in Lagos. This is not good from ‘African Giant’ 💔”

However, in the video itself, no individual is clearly visible, and there is no direct evidence confirming who was inside the vehicle.

What is visible, though, is a nice looking car allegedly escorted by Nigerian security agents, moving freely while traffic rules appeared to be ignored.

The Real Wahala: Traffic Rules or VIP Treatment? 🚦

For many Nigerians, the debate quickly moved beyond Burna Boy’s name.

The bigger question became:
Why do some vehicles get waved through traffic violations while others face seizure, fines, and hours of stress?

Many viewers recalled personal experiences where minor mistakes, like passing a red light, resulted in heavy penalties, while in this case, officials appeared relaxed, smiling, and cooperative.

I have been there trust me you don’t want to mess with any lastma official. My car was seized in the morning, but later released in the evening after paying some fine, I was frustrated 😂.

Nigerians React: “One Road, Two Rules” 😂

Social media users didn’t hold back.

Some blamed the system, not the celebrity.

Others focused on enforcement:

A reminder also surfaced repeatedly:

“They can’t try this in another country.”

One comment summed up the frustration:

So… Who Was Really Inside the Car? 🤔

As of now:

❌ No clear footage of Burna Boy.

❌ No official confirmation.

✅ Plenty of questions about selective law enforcement.

Whether the passenger was a celebrity or not, the video has reignited a familiar conversation: Are traffic laws in Nigeria applied equally, or based on status?

Same Nigeria, Different Experience

For some, a small mistake means, vehicle seizure, heavy fines, a ruined day.

For others: Escorts, Hand waves, free passage.

Same road, same laws, different outcomes. And that’s the real wahala.

What do you think?

Does the video show celebrity privilege, system failure, or just another day on Lagos roads? Or do we all try to make some good money so we could break some rules too? I mean we could block the road completely and enjoy some breakfast in the middle of the road 🤔. But only when the money comes in bulk because I was totally frustrated after my car was seized by these guys.
